Pro Choice

In following with my desire for people of the world to understand ourselves I want to begin with the most important question we can ask in my opinion. Who are we? I see the virulent clamoring about right to life issues, right to choose issues, sanctity of life issues, etc. Well please view the following photos and let a picture paint the thousand words that I can not write and in the spirit of choice, I leave it up to you to choose...

A fetus several weeks old with fully formed limbs, beating heart, and brainwaves.

A prematurely delivered baby only 1 lb. Baby survives and grows into healthy child.

Another premature baby only 1 lb. 4 oz. Lives and fully functional

Premature infant growing strong.

Fetus' that were aborted. slightly larger than the ones above who lived.

In life we all make many choices. There are consequences, immediate, long term, and perhaps infinite in their reaching................... Which one will you choose?

End of preliminary post.

Introduction

Well I am new to the blogging thing but thought I would start. I am a freelance journalist making my living by writing articles about people. Yes people. I spend an inordinate amount of my time watching people and mixing that with what I know about human motivation and behavior. People fascinate me. Why we do what we do. I had a friend in college who told me that humans were no different than animals, acting on instinct and the desire for survival and dominance. However, in my life I have seen some things that make us qualitatively different than animals. Like when my first daughter was born. It created some emotions inside me that I never knew existed. It made me want to elevate myself, be better, be an example that would give her a role model of how to have happiness.

Studying human behavior is time consuming and in the past has required a lot of travel. However, over the past year or two I have discovered that you can learn much from people by their blogs. Some of you may think people like me are voyeurs or stalkers. We all know there are those out there. However, I have no desire to personally meet any of the people out there of whom I am watching or commenting. Mostly I watch and read; sometimes I comment to see if bloggers will respond.

So that is my web identity. I am out there to observe. Who knows, perhaps some of you will end up the subject of one of my articles. Maybe you will read about yourselves in some publication that you already read.

I may give updates to this blog on occasion as I find interesting people out there to write about. The purpose of this blog is journalistic only. I will not write, only tangentially, about myself or my family---that is reserved for a different venue.

Also I do not mean to harm in anyway any of the people of whose blogs I may make remark. If I do I am apologizing up front; it will be unintentional.
